Hello Simon,

The GPS receiver works without needing an internet plan, BUT you still need a map to put it on, and that would require internet (and possible buying a map from Nokia).

Great review on the 5800 nokia. Only one question... when in the applications menu, in location, press landmarks, using the GPS as a "sat nav" does this mean it connects to the web to use or is this function free because its using GPS? Thanks.
