HTC Desire ROM (with Sense UI) on Its Way to the Nexus One Already!
February 17, 2010 in Featured, Wireless News
Again a big thinks to the devs of XDA-Developers and more importantly in this case, Paul from Modaco. Sir Paul there is already hard at work with porting the HTC Desire ROM with all it’s Sense UI goodness to the Nexus One. According to Paul, everything is working rather well except for the FM Radio (it is suspected that he might need the Radio firmware from the Desire to get that to work, but not a big deal to me):
Sense UI works (including all widgets)
Flash 10.1 works in the Browser
Multitouch works
Camera works
Trackball works
Live Wallpapers work
4 Bottom Keys now work
Proximity Sensor works
LED works
Compass and G Sensor work
Wifi and Bluetooth work
Oh and by the way, he was kind enough to take a quick picture:
I know your next question… WHEN CAN I HAVE IT?!?! I had the same question for Modaco and he says “soon”. The current build he is using is watermarked so once he gets a non watermarked build he will release it. Either way, it’s nice to see predictions come true
We’ll have the ROM in the Downloads section and update this post AS SOON AS IT IS AVAILABLE!

Not a big fan of the Sense UI but having flash in the browser would be really cool!

Yeah would be nice to try out, but I kinda like the stock android – still impressive and fast, though!
