I’m having the same problem as mizturyous. It will downlaod but not install. I’m running 2.1. I tried to uninstall the maps app completely then start over fresh but I’m not allowed to uninstall it. No option to remove this app from phone. I’m having force close issues with my current version of maps also – 3.3.1(#3320) gmm-android-verizon, Platform:android:HTC-desirec-Eris. Please help.
