MyTouch 3G HD? First HSPA+ Phone for T-Mobile? (Updated 07.30.10)

Well, that is the rumor at least. According to AndroidCentral, the above image is of a new phone for T-Mobile being called the “MyTouch 3G HD”. This device is also being rumored to possibly be the new HSPA+ phone that has been talked about lately as the HTC Vision/Blaze/Vangaurd. They are also saying that it does resemble the silhouette that T-Mobile put on their teaser page for their first HSPA+ phone (which if you make the phone face the other way, it kinda does actually).

If the image above is an actual device, then it looks like we have a nice sized screen (hence the HD moniker). And if it is the HTC Vision than the rumor is it’ll be 3.7″ or so. We also have the normal Home, Menu, Back, then “Genius” button at the bottom and a trackpad. The button on the side of the device would be either a lock button or, more likely, a dedicated camera button. And an interesting little thing you might notice is what looks like a front facing camera at the top right…

Anyone on T-Mobile excited?

UPDATE: We now have a picture of the rear of the device as well (lending a bit more credibility to the device).

  1. I’m going 2 go ahead and call this Photoshop. Its not like T-Mobile to release 2 MyTouches so close. That would mean they would be fighting against themselves. I think if this was released before the HSPA+ website was found then id believe it some but, seeing as this came out after and has the exact same shape, no dice lol

      1. Also im the MyTouch Champion for my store so i would get this phone if it were true! =) but i know its proly not lol Im hoping the vision is the phone, ill be picking that up next

  2. T-mobile are upgrading phone at a rapid pace its not worth buying a new phone anymore on android because theirs a newer phone coming out every other month now

  3. I am excited. I don’t see why T-Mobile doesn’t market good hardware keyboard phones. All their hardware keyboard phones have crap specs. Albiet, I currently have the Samsung Vibrant. T-mobile, I still waiting for that killer phone with a hardware keyboard on it!

  4. definitely looks like a photoshopped mytouch slide..when i first saw it i thought it was the slide just more stretched out

  5. I’ll say it looks like a Nexus one incanate…w/ a few spec improvement. This is different from the other pics we’ve seen of the HTC Vision /G1 Blaze/ Vanguard which will come w/a horizontal slide out Qwerty keyb. In my view these are different devices n Tmo plan on launching both…the MT3G HD and also the HTC Vision/ G1 Blaze/ Vanguard. The more top devices Magenta has the more the chance to expand its customer base. My N1 still reign supreme…despite the influx of new devices w/ slightly bumped up specs. I will just wait n see if there is a need for a second device amongst the newbies…for now i am quite content w/ my sweet/slick running, powerful, fits in ur hand like a glove Nexus One. Remember folks if u play w/a Nexus one u will want to own one..the device is that good..but many ppl did not have that chance experience the N1 goodness. Also it is a perfect phone for ladys…it is smooth, sexy, perfect in ur hand unlike some of the recent nice but cumbersome devices…Take it from me…if u own one u will fall in love w/ it

  6. If this is the actual phone I honestly think it looks pretty crappy compared to the look of the EVO or the HD2. I guess it’s all preference.
