Apple held an event yesterday that introduced new iPods and the new Apple TV. While Steve Jobs was on stage showing of his new products he didn’t hesitate to compare Apple’s iPhone to Google’s Android. Steve Jobs mentioned Apple was activating 230,000 devices a day while Google’s Eric Schmidt, last month, said that Google was activating over 200,000 devices a day.

In Apple’s spirit, Steve Jobs can not believe those numbers are legit. So he told the event audience, “We think some of our friends are counting upgrades in their numbers”
Google responded back to Steve’s comment with “The Android activation numbers do not include upgrades and are, in fact, only a portion of the Android devices in the market since we only include devices that have Google services.”
Along with this Steve Jobs took a few more shots at Google and a few other companies. Personally I’m wondering when Steve Jobs will admit another company then his own has a good product.
