Palm Pre 2 heading to the UK on November 15th with no carrier adoption

The Palm Pre 2 is a pretty popular smartphone alright, but to release it without the backing of any carriers would be daunting to say the least.  But that is what the situation is as of now, with the Pre2 on its way to land in the UK and all the major carriers in the country throwing their hands up and saying it won’t be available on their networks.  After the Palm Pre’s huge success, the much improved second iteration could find enough takers but Palm would still be tapping out of a huge market where buyers would like to get an in-store hands-on experience before they buy the device.  The device will be available starting Monday, November 14th, at £399 as an unlocked version.

If you didn’t know already, the Pre 2 has a 3.2-inch 16M color Gorilla glass display, a slide-down QWERTY keypad, 16GB of internal storage (with no expansion), GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 5-megapixel camera among other features, running on HP webOS 2.0.
