Palm Pre2 up for preorder on Verizon tomorrow

It’s choices galore this time around on Verizon and with the addition of the Palm Pre 2 to its inventory, the wireless carrier now has a chunk of HP WebOS 2.0 to offer too.  Starting tomorrow, Verizon customers can preorder the Palm Pre2, a device which is scheduled to go on sale from February 13th.  The device will start shipping on February 17th and the rumored going price is $99.99.

The Pre2 features a fast 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, a 3.1-inch HVGA Gorilla Glass display and the usual array of connectivity options including WiFi (with Mobile Hotspot), GPS, HSDPA and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.  For imaging needs, Palm has thrown in a 5MP camera with geotagging and 16GB of internal storage to drop your data in.

You could order the device tomorrow although it seems the preorder page has mysteriously disappeared from the Verizon website as of now, but we’ll update you just as soon as we find it!

  1. I placed my order through the link on the Palm Site, through their RESELLER Simplexity, not Verizon itself:
Thank you for shopping with HP Wireless Central powered by Simplexity!
We have received and are processing your order.

Then, 2 hours later, I get an e-mail saying:

ITEM CANCELLED: HP Wireless Central powered by Simplexity Order
Thank you for your recent Verizon Wireless order. Unfortunately, we cannot process your request at this time. For your convenience, we are cancelling this phone and any accessories you purchased for this item on your order. You will receive an email like this for each ineligible or cancelled phone.
Click Here to return to HP Wireless Central powered by Simplexity and place a new order.
    Thank you,
The Customer Service Team at HP Wireless Central powered by Simplexity
