LG G-Slate 3D tablet gets a video

LG’s debutant in the tablet section, the G-Slate 3D, recently got a video to show off its wares.  The video, clocking in at 2 minutes and 49 seconds, features the G-Slate and theofficialLGgirl, and both look gorgeous, if we may say so.  As to its features, the list is impressive with:

  • 8.9-inch multitouch screen
  • Nvidia Tegra2 dual-core processor
  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb Operating System
  • 3D video capture with the stereoscopic camera on the back with 3D video playback
  • Mini-HDMI port
  • 5.3 megapixel still shot capture (secondary front-facing camera for video chat)
  • 1080p HD video capture and 720p video playback

The LG G-Slate will be available later this month according to LG on T-Mobile, but the carrier has been known to say otherwise with a release date some time in spring.  Recent rumors also peg the date to April 20th, along with the LG Optimus 2X (renamed as LG G2X).  Either way, we can’t wait to see how this device will fare against the likes of the Xoom, iPad2 and others, armed with 3D which no other tablet is equipped with.

  1. Dual 3D cameras are a big plus and brings more competitive power against Xoom. By the way, Toshiba tablet has replaceable battery. If LG would put this too, then it would be the best Android Honeycomb tablet indeed. The other specs including NVIDIA are same for almost all new Android tablets.

  2. To many unanswers questions. Does it have a SD slot for expanded memory. Does it require 3D glasses.to see the photos that you take in 3D or video playback in 3D using the built in camcorder on android platform. T-Mobile 4G is not as fast as their network claims to be. Technically Verizon has the fastest 4G internet data speed. Now that A T&T will buy out T-Mobile network, this device will probably be obsolete in few months if the merger is approved. I heard that if the merger is approved by the government, A T&T will get rid of T-Mobile 4G technology since they use HSPA. A T&T will upgrade all of T-Mobile 4G data internet to A T&T standard of LTE 4G like Verizon.
