Honeycomb Custom ROM for the Desire HD Appears

Now, it’s not too functional, but it’s still great news nonetheless. zFr3eak over on XDA Developers has released a very alpha build of a Honeycomb (Android 3.0) ROM he is working on for the HTC Desire HD. What is working and what is not working are listed on the developer’s post at the source link below, but I can tell you it’s not for daily use (things like the phone doesn’t work etc.). The developer says he will probably be able to get the missing features working as soon as Google releases the Honeycomb source code (which we have all been waiting very patiently for for some time now).

Either way, it’s nice to see that it IS possible to get Honeycomb to run on a non-tablet device and I, for one, can’t wait to see where this leads.

In the meantime though, if you just want to take a peak and have a Desire HD, then head to the source link below.

Thanks to whoever submitted this ROM to our ROM database!
