T-Mobile G-Slate to arrive on April 20 for $529.99
T-Mobile has today announced a date and a price for the 3D-enabled LG tablet, the G-Slate. The company has revealed on its blog recently that the G-Slate will be available beginning tomorrow, April 20th, and will run interested T-Mo customers up to $529.99 (just as we reported at the beginning of this month). The price is after a $100 mail-in rebate and there is a two-year lockdown clause to agree to.
Compared to the $729.99 iPad2 and the $599.99 Motorola Xoom, the G-Slate seems to be sensibly priced, especially considering the features that it comes with against the competition. If you didn’t know already, the G-Slate features:
- 8.9-inch 3D display capable of displaying 768×1280 pixels
- 1GHz Nvidia Tegra2 dual-core processor
- Connectivity: T-Mobile 4G, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth, and aGPS
- 32GB of onboard memory with further expansion to 32GB via microSD
- Dual 5MP cameras for 3D photos and videos
- Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system
