One of Google’s popular online services just got a native Android app – Google Docs. The online document/spreadsheet service is used by millions and a major part of those will now have the ability to open, create, edit and save new documents directly from their Android smartphones. There’s also a widget bundled for easier access from your homescreen. The news was made public some time back and if you haven’t got it already, hit up the Market icon or scan the barcode at the end of this post.
Also included is an innovative feature to scan physical documents using the phone’s camera and automatically convert (using OCR) into fully editable documents – a great addition for on the fly conversion of important documents.
