Sony Ericsson announces the Xperia Mini and Mini Pro

Sony Ericsson has recently announced its newest additions to the Xperia line – the Mini and Mini Pro.  Small and compact seem to be the keywords here, which is evident both in the “mini” moniker attached their names and the actual size of the devices, and should appeal to many who want something light in their pocket, yet have the same prowess as the current crop of Android smartphones.  While the Xperia Mini is billed as “the world’s smallest Android smartphone with HD video recording,” the Xperia Mini Pro stays true to its previous iteration and totes a full QWERTY physical keypad.  Both devices run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and a 1GHz Snapdragon hums underneath to keep things smooth.  Read on for a few more highlights on the specs side.
