How To Transfer Files Between Your Android Tablet and Mac

Have a Motorola Xoom, Asus Transformer, or any other Android Honeycomb tablet, but also have a Mac? Having an issue with getting them to play nice with each other? Well, one thing you may have noticed is that when you plug it in and try to mount the storage/sd card, so you can transfer files to it, it doesn’t let you. This is because, that unlike with a PC, the storage isn’t automatically detected on a Honeycomb tablet when using a Mac. Don’t worry though, there is a way to fix it. Here’s how.
1. Head here to download the Android File Transfer program and save it to your computer.Android File Transfer Program
2. Double click the .dmg file
3. Drag the Android File Transfer application into the Applications folder.
4. Now, plug in the Android Tablet via USB cable to your Mac.
5. The first time you connect your device via USB you will have to manually open the Android File Transfer application (after that, it will automatically open whenever you plug it in).
6. You will then be greeted by your Android Tablet’s file system and can now drag and drop files back and forth between them up to 4GB at a time. Enjoy!

I’ve just purchased a Motorola XOOM and am trying to connect it to my Mac. I’ve gone to the link above to download the androidfiletransfer.dmg but nothing downloads. The link to the file after you click Android’s green ‘Download Now’ button is apparently fubar. Is there another place to get this much needed file? Can I get it from you? The XOOM might be headed back for an iPad2 exchange — more than likely what I should’ve purchased in the first place.

I have Mac OS Lion and it actually worked for me! I followed the instructions just as directed so I don’t know why it wouldn’t work for anybody else. Btw, I have the Asus Transformer TF101 32GB and I used Mozilla Firefox to download the app.
Thanks for the advice!
