T-Mobile goes official with the HTC Sensation 4G

The long-awaited HTC monsterphone, the Sensation 4G, has now been officially announced by T-Mobile along with a definite release date.  Starting June 15th, the Gingerbread device will be available in stores across the country and via the T-Mobile online store.

The release is pretty close to what was rumored earlier, after it was announced and picked up by almost all of the UK carriers early March.  If you didn’t catch the Sensation 4G’s specs earlier, you’ll need to know the device is HTC’s next flagship phone with support for T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network, a blazing fast 1.2GHz dual-core processor with Adreno 220 GPU and 768MB RAM, and an expansive 4.3-inch 540×960 S-LCD capacitive touchscreen display.  The device currently runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the new Sense 3.0 enmeshed, but we are guessing 2.4 is on the cards after release.  There’s also WiFi and Bluetooth as usual for your wireless needs and DLNA/TV-out to connect to other media outlets to watch movies or clips shot with its 8MP autofocus camera (VGA camera on front for video chat/call).

Pricing is yet to be revealed but we’ll be here to tell you come June 15th.
