First 4G Sprint Motorola Android Device: The Photon 4G Get’s Official

At the New York Sprint and Motorola press event today, Motorola confirmed that they would be making their first Sprint 4G device available this summer. The Photon 4G, a modern styled device, lives up to it’s futuristic sounding name sporting a glossy bezel, angled corners, and a soft touch rubberized back. The device will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread in addition to its highlighted features listed below.

  • 4.3-inch qHD display
  • 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor
  • 16GB of storage
  • 4G WiMAX
  • Sprint ID and worldphone capabilities
  • Front facing 8 megapixel camera with support for Motorola’s webtop solution

The Motorola Photon 4G has an anticipated summer launch with pricing to be announced.
