FCC Receives AT&T Public Statement for T-Mobile Merger

AT&T filed an official statement with the Federal Communications Commissions on Friday supporting its $39 Billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA. The public statement is founded on the basis that the deal will result in strong economic growth without limiting industry innovation. AT&T stated “nothing about the combination of AT&T and T-Mobile USA could possibly keep Sprint or any other provider from acting on the same incentives it has today to keep innovating in this unusually dynamic ecosystem”.

AT&T also implied within their statement to the FCC, that the T-Mobile deal would maintain and promote industry competition leaving the wireless market “vibrantly competitive”.

The merger has already gained tremendous support from 17 state governors and large corporations like Yahoo!, Facebook, RIM, Microsoft, and Qualcomm.
