LG Thrill 4G, first 3D phone for AT&T, announced

AT&T has now announced a new Android device for its future lineup – the LG Thrill 4G.  The press release was decidedly sparse on important details like the availability and pricing, but at the least, this announcement should give AT&T users something to look forward to.

The Thrill 4G is actually not a new phone but a rebranded LG Optimus 3D – so if you know the Optimus 3D, you pretty much know what the Thrill 4G is all about.  And since the Optimus 3D hasn’t seen the light of the day yet, we could expect the Thrill 4G to land around the same time as the original.  The AT&T version will feature the same glass-less 4.3-inch 3D touchscreen display, dual 5MP camera for taking 3D pics and vids and exclusive access to 3D content on YouTube.  There’s a 1GHz dual-core processor humming along with 512MB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage underneath Android 2.2, which should play nice with Gingerbread too when the upgrade is released.

Head over to the Optimus 3D spec page to know more.
