Dell Windows Tablet Codename Peju Leaked Specs

In a recent blog leak, Dell’s delayed Windows tablet shows off detailed specs and a codename to boot. The device codenamed, Peju or possibly Longitude ST, shows potential to rival ASUS’ Eee Slate. The Dell tablet looks to stand apart with its 5,500 mAh battery bragging a full 6-8 hours of real battery life, whereas the Eee Slate only gets 2 hours.

Additional leaked specs include a Core i5 processor, 1080p display resolution, 4GB of RAM, rear five-megapixel and front 1.3-megapixel cameras, and a 64GB or 120GB solid-state drive. The Windows 8 compatible tablet is a heavier and thicker device than the competition’s iPad or Android tablets, weighing in at 1.9 pounds and 0.63 inches.

While the exact launch date and pricing have not been confirmed, insiders speculate a release near October with pricing close to $1,000. Dell looks to market the tablet specifically at working professionals and hopes to set itself apart from the competition.
