Toshiba Promises Solution For Thrive Tablet Sleep Problems, Update Coming Soon
July 29, 2011 in Featured, Tablets, Wireless News
Just days after the Toshiba Thrive tablet shipped into the awaiting arms of many enthusiastic new owners, the forums were buzzing with a variety of issues. Users would experience extreme difficulty reviving the tab out of sleep mode without resorting to a full solid re-boot. Additional issues included sporadic system freezes and the device powering on by itself.
Good news though as Toshiba has seemingly made good on their promise to provide a solution. The company has developed a fix for the tablet’s sleep issues and will release it “early next week” via the Service Station app. Additionally, the update will improve the device’s “multimedia playback capabilities.”
Toshiba did not release an exact update date, but we’re just happy to hear it will be coming soon.
