T-Mobile To Start Charging Overage Fees On August 14th For 200MB Internet Plans?

Apparently T-Mobile has been inundated with its data demands and may be just a few days away from making a substantial change on its 200MB Internet plans. Currently, if users go over their 200MB they experience painfully slow Internet browsing and download times due to the throttling of broadband speeds.

According to TMoNews, throttling will be soon be replaced with usage fees. For each MB used over the 200MB plan 10 cents will be added on to the user’s bill. Thankfully, T-Mobile has capped the overage fee at $30. It also looks like anyone currently on the 200MB plan will be grandfathered in, so worry-not current users.

T-Mobile has yet to confirm the overage fees rumored to roll out starting August 14th, but it seems like only a matter of time before they make the switch, and we all get closer and closer to watching our unlimited Internet options become a thing of the past.
