Apple Hires JailbreakMe Hacker ‘Comex’ to Join Team as an Intern

Nicholas Allegra, or more famously known as Comex in hacker circles, is the brains behind the JailbreakMe and Spirit tools that we’ve often covered here. Notorious for keeping Apple on their toes and breathing life into the jailbreaking community, it comes as an interesting bit of news that the Allegra will now be working as an intern for, you guessed it, Apple themselves.

While Allegra’s job duties have yet to be defined, we aren’t entirely shocked that Apple sees great value and potential in Allegra’s skill set. Having a mind like Allegra on your side can fare well for Apple in terms of identifying any areas of vulnerability and creating a more secure iOS platform.

We’re not sure what this means for the future of the infamous JailbreakMe tools, but we’re sure there are some enthusiastic hackers lurking in the shadows willing to pick up right where Allegra left off.
