HTC also upgrading the Sensation to 1.5GHz dual-core processor

Samsung did it with the Galaxy S II recently and now HTC is matching the bet by doing the same to the S2 rival from its own stables, the Sensation.  Like the S2, this handset dubbed the Sensation Special Edition, will be endowed with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor instead of the original 1.2GHz CPU along with a few other improvements.  According to CNET, this version of the device will also see an increase in its internal memory with 4GB crammed in, instead of a gig previously.  To juice up that souped-up processor, the Sensation Special Edition will come with a 1730mAh battery, while the 4.3-inch qHD display and the 8MP camera will get nothing new.  Another improvement is the inclusion of Beats audio technology, taking advantage of HTC’s recent tieup with Beats by Dr. Dre recently

All this is bound to come at a higher price and sure enough, the device will carry a tag for $850 sans contract.  As for a release, with GSM/TD-SCDMA network support, this might be limited to the Chinese market but that’s not to say a worldwide is not probable.  You’ll know more when we know.
