Google Goggles now does automatic visual search

Updated now to version 1.6, Google Goggles now comes with a new feature – visual search.  Users now have the option to let the Goggles app examine any picture that you snap using the “Search from Camera” option and pull info from the web if anything relevant is found.  This information will then be displayed in the notification bar, prompting users to check it if they want to.  Practically speaking, this new feature does have a lot of uses – the idea of getting info automatically on a famous landmark you are picturing with just a click sounds great and eliminates the need for a guide or a guidebook to know more about that particular place.

The update is available via the web-based Android Market or through your phone, so go ahead and update – you may never know it might come in handy, right?
