October 9, 2011 in Android How To's, Featured, How To's, Motorola Droid 2 How To's, Video

Do you have a rooted Droid 2 and want to install a custom ROM? The most important step is having a custom recovery image.

I. Before you begin.

1. This method should work on any variation of the Droid 2 (Droid 2 global and r2d2 version).

2. You must be rooted, if you are not, head on over to our Droid 2 root tutorial.

II. Installing the boostrap and recovery.

1. Download the bootstrap/recovery from the market on your phone by searching for ROM Manager.

2. Open it and select bootstrap recovery.

3. Then select reboot recovery.

With a rooted phone and custom recovery, next in line is loading a custom ROM.
