Perhaps Samsung is hoping to use their home turf advantage as they are ”looking into filing a motion in a Korean court to ban the sale of the iPhone 4S in Korea.” According to Samsung communications chief Shin Jong-kyun the company sees no geographical limits when it comes to defending their products. He was quoted saying the following,

”We haven’t limited our legal actions to certain countries. We intend to take legal action in as many countries as possible with all the patents we can use.”

Samsung is currently attempting to ban the iPhone 4S in additional countries including Australia, Japan, France and Italy. Legal experts speculate that a request for the iPhone 4S ban in South Korea might have a greater success rate as Samsung holds a higher market share and consumer base than its nemesis Apple.

As Apple plans to launch the iPhone 4S Korea around mid-November we may see further legal action on Samsung’s side during that time.
