Good news for anyone who was waiting around for the LG DoublePlay, as the handset is coming to T-Mobile much sooner than expected. According to an official LG tweet, the dual screen smartphone is available immediately from T-Mobile. The early release coming as a surprise, as earlier leaks had the launch date slated for November 2nd.

Spec highlights for the LG DoublePlay include a main 3.5-inch display, and a secondary 2.5 inch screen that is situated between a split QWERTY keyboard. The dual screen set up enables the user with the ability to browse and chat at the same time. Additional specs include Android 2.3, a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a five-megapixel rear camera capable of 720p recording.

Interested consumers can purchase the LG DoublePlan online now for $99.99 with a 2 year contract after a $50 rebate.
