In a strategic move to maintain its existing subscriber base, T-Mobile has formulated a new offer in the hopes that its users won’t abandon them for Apple’s iPhone 4S. Existing subscribers are being offered a special upgrade incentive for either the T-Mobile myTouch by LG or the T-Mobile myTouch Q by LG. The special offer will end up saving users $100 off the normal upgrade price.

The offer includes an upfront $50 discount, paired with a $50 mail-in-rebate. This particular offer is unlikely in nature for existing subscribers, and usually only targeted towards new customers. It appears as though T-Mobile is prepared to work hard to keep their loyal customers.

To qualify for the special offer T-Mobile users must have contract tenure of 18 or more months, eligible for same as new, or early upgrade pricing and hold a Classic rate plan with a $20 or higher web feature. T-Mobile plans to run the special until December 28.
