Amazon Kindle Fire gets rooted the easy way
November 16, 2011 in Android News, Featured, Operating System News, Tablets, Wireless News
With just the already available SuperOneClick method, a user from XDA Forums has blown the doors wide open for development on the $199 Amazon tablet. The dual-core device has been successfully rooted by XDA member, death2all110, with just a few changes to an ADB ini file before using SuperOneClick.
With its 7-inch IPS LCD display and dual-core CPU, the Kindle Fire is one of the cheapest tablets out there with features sitting far higher than its price – now that the device has seen root, it should gain much popularity as we should be seeing a flurry of ROMs make their way out of dev sheds pretty soon. So, did we just give you guys another reason to pick this lovely device up?
Anyways, head over to the XDA thread to get the complete lowdown on the process to get your Kindle Fire rooted and shoot back at us in the Comments section below about what you plan to do with your Fire after.
