How To Root the Motorola Droid Bionic (Updated)

Do you have a Motorola DROID Bionic and want to root it? Now you can!

I. Before you begin.

1. You must have previously installed the Motorola drivers for your PC. If you do not, head to our ADB procedure and find the files there.

How To Setup ADB (and look for the Universal Motorola Drivers file in Section II).

2. This method is known to work on the following devices: Motorola Cliq, Cliq 2, Droid, Droid 2 Global, Droid 3, Droid Pro, Droid X and Droid X 2.

II. Root your device.

1. Download the root file and place on your desktop.

Windows

MAC OS X / Linux

2. Extract the .zip file to your desktop.

3. Plug in your phone with the USB Cable.

4. Select charge only mode.

5. From the home screen, select menu, settings, applications and development.

6. Under development, make sure debugging mode is checked off.

7. Open up the start up the application and select option 2.

8. Follow the prompts on the screen.
