According to Microsoft Australia, Microsoft Lync will be making its way to Android, BlackBerry, iOS, and Windows Phone devices next month. Microsoft Lync is well known in the corporate arena as an enterprise instant messaging client, or what was previously known as Microsoft Office Communicator. The service is currently only available to Mac and PC users, but Microsoft hopes to expand its potential by bringing a mobile version to all of the major mobile platforms. No mention if Nokia’s Symbian OS will see the application as part of this expansion.

The announcement came as a tweet from the Microsoft Australia division, and with the limited nature of confirming news through a tweet, we’ll expect to see more details surface in the coming weeks.
