T-Mobile To Limit Data Roaming Starting April 5th

Not the news T-Mo customers want to hear, but according to a leaked memo, the company plans to limit data roaming beginning April 5th. So, what exactly will that entail? It appears that the change would restrict users to a fixed allotment of roaming data that’s proportionate to their current data plan. Once the roaming limit is at capacity, users will not be able to consume any additional data on any non T-Mobile network until their new billing cycle starts. Yikes.

Granted, most customers won’t even notice the change, but it’s safe to say some users will be stuck feeling the burn. Starting April 5th, customers roaming outside of T-Mobile’s network will be sent a text message notification when they reach both 80% and 100% of their domestic roaming data allotment.According to T-Mobile, the company states that the change is an effort to keep their pricing competitive, but we’re not sure how that will translate to some of its loyal customers.Source
