Verizon Plans To Launch Double Data Promo Again, This Friday February 10th

Just in time for the official Motorola Droid 4 kick off, Verizon plans to launch their double data promotion yet again. The wildly popular promo originally launched in November 2011 and ran until the new year.

Under the promo customers who sign up for a 4G plan will receive double the amount of monthly data (at no extra charge) for the duration of their contracts. Interested consumers should note that the promotion is only available to first time 4G subscribers or users who wish to upgrade to a 4G plan from a non- 4G data plan. Additionally, the promo is only available to smartphones and will not be offered to tablet users.

Currently, Verizon offers their data plans in three different tiers: 2 gigabytes for $30, 5 gigabytes for $50 and 10 gigabytes for $80. So, with the double data promo a new customer would receive 4 gigabytes for $30, 10 gigabytes for $50 and 20 gigabytes for $80. The promo plans are only offered as 2-year contracts.

The Verizon double data promo is scheduled to start Friday, February 10th.
