According to GigaOM, HTC is planning on expanding its relationship with Beats Audio in the near future. Reportedly, the plans include a new line of handsets, tablets and a new music streaming service. As with the original Beats Audio deal, we expect that Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M, to head up the plans in conjunction with HTC’s Peter Chow.
While details remain few and far between at the moment, the music streaming service is expected to be included as a default client in HTC’s handsets and tablets. With Mobile World Congress right around the corner we could see the first of these new devices unveiled later this month.
