Great news for anyone still clinging on to their beloved Motorola Droid X, as the handset has received a much needed update. The 15.2MB update brings the device’s Gingerbread up to build 4.5.621 and also fixes a ton of issues.Sorry, no Android 4.0 with this update, but we’ll take whatever improvements we can get for the Droid X. Highlighted improvements include an enhanced browser experience, the music player stability is addressed, less message errors, and the overall user experience should be improved yet again.

For additional instructions on how to initiate the OTA update, Droid X users can go to Verizon’s official support page.

  1. I got the update finally…so far no more reboots when playing uncompressed music while using an equalizer and texting at the same time…made my day
