Google Wallet Supports Prepaid Cards Once More, Inconvenienced Users Get $5 and an Apology

Google Wallet has seen better days when it comes to their prepaid card journey, but hopefully things are starting to smooth out. Users can attest to the ups and down as Google disabled the feature that enabled users the ability to add a Google Prepaid Card to their wallets after either removing it, or resetting their apps. While Google decided to disable the feature with user’s security in mind, it did manage to make plenty of people quite angry. In response to the overwhelming feedback, Google decided to fix the issue and with the latest Google Wallet version users can now re-add their prepaid cards back to their wallet.

The good news doesn’t stop there, as Google was gracious enough to send out an apologetic email and $5 compensation to anyone who was inconvenienced by the matter. So, if you were part of the massively inconvenienced, go on and add your prepaid card and use that $5 to buy yourself a venti sized something or other.
