Samsung China President Says Galaxy S III Could Launch as Early as April
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III is quite possibly one of the most rumored-about smartphones we’ve seen outside of when a next generation iPhone is expected to launch. So when it’s one of Samsung’s very own who has decided to add fuel to the turbulent rumor mill, ears in the industry perk up. This time it’s Samsung’s China President Kim Young-Ha, who was quoted saying that the “follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy S II could launch as early as April”. Young-Ha mentioned the Galaxy S III when speaking to Beijing reporters about Samsung’s broader market strategy in China.
Oddly enough, it was also Samsung who denied a rumored April launch just a few weeks ago. While we are all for an April launch, at this point we’re still feeling slightly skeptical as to when consumers will actually get their hands on the GSIII. Could the GSIII be so elusive that even Samsung’s head honchos are confused as to when it’s launching? Do you think this is just Samsung’s way of creating hype leading up to the launch, or do you think we’ll actually have a GSIII launch to celebrate this April?
