How to Improve HTC One X Camera Performance

The HTC One X is a great Android smartphone carrying a quad-core processor of 1.5 GHz. The phone has an 8MP camera on the back which is capable of shooting videos up to 1080p (Full HD), crystal clear videos which are perfect for watching on HD televisions. Though the phone camera provides high quality pictures, it is still restricted. If you could remove this restriction, the picture and video quality on the phone would become far better. In this guide, we will be showing you how you can improve your HTC One X’s camera performance by removing that exact restriction.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have a rooted HTC One X smartphone. Learn how to root HTC One X.

2. You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed. You can learn how to install it on your phone from here.

3. There’re some bugs in the mod, therefore install it at your own risk.

II. Downloading Required Files:

  1. Download HQ Camera Mod for One X from here.

III. Installing HQ Camera Mod on HTC One X:

1. Put the downloaded Camera Mod file on your Desktop. Do NOT extract files from it, leave it as is.

2. Connect your HTC One X smartphone to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Transfer the Camera Mod file to your phone’s SD card storage, put it in the topmost (root) folder.

4. Disconnect your phone from the PC after the file has been transferred to the phone.

5. Turn OFF your HTC One X.

6. Press and hold both Volume DOWN and Power key to boot your phone into the recovery mode.

7. Select install zip from sdcard option from the recovery menu.

8. Choose the Camera Mod file you transferred to your phone and confirm the action.

9. When the recovery has finished installing the file, choose Reboot system now from the recovery menu to reboot your phone.

That’s all. The camera mod has been successfully installed on your phone. From now on, you can capture photos without size limit and can shoot videos in better quality than before.
