  1. When I tried to do this, the command prompt window displayed “Wait for connect device…” but my tablet is connected via usb with usb debugging enabled. Any suggestions on how to fix this and get me rooted?

  2. I tried this method, and all I get is a message in the command prompt that says:

  3. Just officially rooted with this method. It didn’t work 1-2-3, as i encountered a few problems when trying to root with the CMD file. I restarted my a100 a few times, disconnected and connected a few times. Also, when my tablet was connected to the computer, i clicked on “Connected as a media device” in the status bar (where time/battery shows). Unchecked Media Device(MTP) and checked Camera (PTP) a few times. It’ll update drivers on your computer. When that’s done check back MTP (maybe restart a100) and it should work.

  4. agree with sean, same thing happened to me.did it lots of time and still same thing. did we do something wrong or did we forgot some steps there.. pls reply…

  5. Worked flawlessly for me—thanks. An important note…make sure you’ve downloaded and installed the A100 drivers from Acer’s website BEFORE starting this process!

    Wait for connect device…
*daemon not running. Starting it now on port 5037*
*daemon started successfuly* it been like that for 3 hours help please

  7. In my case, adb was not able to detect the A100 under Windows7. I had more luck with Ubuntu after installing android-tools-adb.
But then I had to use adb from my system and not from the downloaded folder. So I had to manipulate runit-linux.sh.
The next problem, no rights to create anything at /data/… Maybe a better place could be /mnt/sdcard/data/…
    What you think?
