How to Backup and Restore Call Logs on your Android Phone

Call Logs of your Android phone records all the received, dialed and missed calls on your Android Phone. If you are going to flash a custom ROM or format your phone, then you should take a backup of these logs. Here’s a simple guide explaining how you can use an app to Backup and Restore Call Logs.

I. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the Call Logs Backup & Restore app from here. (Google Play Link)

II. Taking a Backup of Call Logs:

1. Download and install the Call Logs Backup & Restore app on your phone.

2. Navigate to the menu of your phone and launch the app by tapping its icon.

3. From the main menu of the app, select Backup option.  Here’s the screenshot:

4. Enter the name of the backup file and tap the Ok button. You can enter any name for the backup file but it must end with .xml extension.

5. A dialog box will appear on your screen saying that the backup is completed. Tap the Close button to close it.

III. Restoring a Backup of Call Logs:

1. Go the Menu of your phone and launch the Call Logs Backup & Restore app.

2. Select Restore from the main menu of the app.

[ Select Restore option ]

3. You will see the Backups of Call Logs you’ve created, choose any backup file and tap the Ok button.

[ Choose the backup and hit Ok ]

4. It will ask you to check for duplicates, just hit the Yes button.

[ Tap the Yes button ]

5. A confirmation dialog box will be shown on your screen. Tap the Close button to close it.

You have successfully restored a backup of Call Logs.
