It might be useful to know approximately how long flashing the recovery image should take. I have:

    sending ‘recovery’ (5306 KB)… OKAY [ 7.040s]
    writing ‘recovery’….

and 10 minutes later nothing has happened. I suspect there’s a problem but it would be good to *know* I’ve been waiting too long.

If the process is stuck somewhere, restart the entire process.

You have to replace the -i 0x0B05 with the image of your device. Mine was actually 00000, so I used:
      fastboot -i 00000 flash recovery recovery.img

when i try it … it says waiting for device y cant it find the asus

Have you installed drivers for your device? Your PC won’t be able to recognize your device if you haven’t installed the device drivers.

Please get the drivers first and then follow the procedure.

Mahesh, I followed your steps to install CWM on my Asus TF300T. I have Jelly Bean 4.2 and the latest build. I was able to successfully install CWM 6.0.2.3 on the tablet but when I try to do the root install from the recovery menu all I get are erros “Can’t mount /sdcard/ and “Can’t mount /emmc/”. Any suggestions?

This doesn’t work I have 4.2.1. The adb drivers work as my pc can see the serial number of the asus. This is unlocked. When I reboot the asus using power/vol down the asus comes up with a missing valid driver and says booting to usb fast boot and then gives me the options of rck droid or wipe. But when I type the fast boot instructions on the pc nothing happens to the tf300t. ?????Suggestions?????
