Confirmed: iPhone 4 and 4S Headed to Virgin Mobile June 29th
Virgin Mobile has finally confirmed recent rumors that the iPhone 4 and 4S will finally become an official addition to their device portfolio. Eager Virgin customers can get their very own iPhone on June 29th. In true Virgin Mobile fashion, both handsets are compatible for the carrier’s Beyond Talk data and messaging plans from $35 per month or $30 when registering for automatic payments. Not fan of being held down by a contract? All you will have to do is cough up $649 for the 16GB 4S or $549 for the 8GB iPhone 4.
Up until this point the iPhone has been kept away from the prepaid wireless market, which aims at accommodating the low income consumer demographic. While it’s a wonderful concept that consumers with less than ideal credit can now score an iPhone off contract, the high price might pose a challenge for some. What do you think?
