We’ve done the procedure on our smartphone and it went fine. Please follow each step carefully and I am sure that you will succeed in installing the recovery.

    2. I also confirm that using the image zip file to flash from SD card caused messy screen. But lucky enough, it did not cause any brick.

  1. When I reboot in recovery mode (home+power), after picking “Update from sd card”, I receive error “can’t locate update.zip.

I put downloaded file in the root of sdcard (empty sd card). What went wrong?

      1. how to select the recovery image for flashing? the only thing appear for me is “apply sd card: update.zip”. But I deleted update.zip already

  2. After i select the zip file from root of sdcard the screen freezes..nothing seems to be working, when pressed the power button..the phone then normally boots to 2.3.6, what might be the problem..?

  3. When I reboot in recovery mode the only thing will appear is RAMDUMP Mode (ARM9 mode) and then SAMSUNG. nothing else just like that. help please
