Android App of the Day: Action Snap

So you keep trying to take an action shot of your dog Wilbur dunking a basketball to prove to all your friends that you really aren’t lying about your dog’s skills. Only problem with this plan is that your smartphone camera lags too much and all you get is blurry shots of Wilbur’s leg. Enter in the Action Snap app for Android and all of your problems are instantly solved. Now armed with the powers of Action Snap you can successfully capture and combine multiple photos at once.

Pros:

  • Free!
  • Supports combining 4 or 9 photos. You can choose a time interval from 0.1s to 5s and start capturing photos by one click only, or you can use the custom mode to take photos one by one
  • Provides cool photo effects including LOMO, SepiaĀ and more. Besides the default image ratio, ActionSnap also supports taking square photo
  • Share your photos and follow your friends with the Steply community
  • Great to use with low-light
  • Fast photo capture

Cons:Ā

  • Have to pay to upgrade app to obtain addition pro-features
  • Only can take up to 9 shots at once

How it works:

  • Download the app
  • Decide if you want to add a photo effect like LOMO or black and white to your shot.
  • Tap on the effect and the app will take either 4 or 9 shots of the image
  • Save shots to your device’s gallery or share with your friends

Conclusion:

Action Snap is a simple app that successfully provides you with the ability to capture the quickest of life’s moments. The app’s interface is well-designed with just your basic essentials. No distractions just the features you need. While the free version supports combining 4 or 9 photos at once, I do wish the app provided the option to take 15 or 20 shots at once. With that said, I love the app and always use it when my phone’s default camera won’t cut it. Besides, if you download Action Snap at least now you’ll be able to share Wilbur’s dunking skills with the world.
