How To Install Siri on the iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1.1

Jealous of your friends with their iPhone 4S’s and their personal assistant Siri? Completely understandable, the girl is quite the handy assistant and quite the conversationalist, I hear. Well, even though Apple doesn’t want you to have Siri on your iPhone (they’d rather you buy the new iPhone instead) doesn’t mean, thanks to some dedicated third-party developers, you can’t have her as well. Here’s how to get Siri on the iPhone 4.

I. Before You Begin

1. You must be jailbroken. Don’t worry it’s not scary or hard to do, simply head here to our iOS how to’s section and select your device then find the How To Jailbreak procedure for that device and your iOS version and follow the video until you see Cydia on your device. Once you do head back to this procedure and continue.

II. Add Siri Repo to your Device.

1. Open the Cydia app on your device.

2. Tap on Manage.

3. Tap on Sources.

4. Tap Edit.

5. Tap Add.

6. In the URL field that pops up, type the following:

http://cydia.iphonetweak.fr

7. Click Add Anyway.

III. Install Siri on Your Device.

1. Once that is done, head to search and search for “Spite”.

2. Find the one called Spite 3.0.1-1 (Untethered), click on it.

3. Click Install in the top right corner. (This will take a good 15-20 minutes so be patient and be connected to WIfi beforehand).

4. Once done, click Reboot Device.

5. Once it boots back up, choose a WiFi network then click Use Siri then Start Using Device.

6. Head to Cydia.

7. Search for AssitantServer Installer and click on it.

8. Click Install in the top right corner.

9. Once done, click Reboot Device.

IV. Enable Siri on Your Device.

1. Go to Settings > General > Siri.

2. Turn Siri On.

3. Click Back.

4. Go down in Settings to SiriServer and click on it.

5. Copy the url it asks you to input at the top (or write it down).

6. Click Back.

7. Click Spire.

8. Enter the URL you copied into where it says Proxy Host.

9. Click Back.

10. Click on SiriServer again.

11. Click Start Server.

12. Click Back.

13. Reboot and enjoy Siri by holding down the Home button.

V Troubleshooting

1. If Siri doesn’t work right away, try going back into the SiriServer in Settings and clicking on the Update Server button, then Start Server and wait 10 seconds for it to start up. Then try to use Siri again.

If this procedure helped you, please thank or donate to the developers of these amazing apps by clicking donate in their respective apps setting sections (i.e. Under Spire in Settings click on Donate, etc.)!

  1. This Works 😀 thanks soo much!Tried siriport and it didn’t work and i was very disappointed and removed it. So glad I found this(:

    1. Noticing some minor issues this morning: I tell Siri to text someone and she replies “Tell me about _______” Sometimes the blank is family, father, etc. Also, if I ask “Siri do you like the iPad?” she responded “That’s me. I’m not sure if I like it. What is it like?” and I responded “it’s a tablet?” she responded ” is a tablet.” What is the issue causing these random answers that don’t have anything to do with the question?

  2. this worked for me very well the only thing that i had found that was crazy was when i asked siri who do u belong to she said that she belongs to Raven lol lol but thats ok i just like showing my friends that it works thanks again

      1. Yeah finally got it working but I seem to only be able to ask about the weather or time ;o) Any other question throws up an error.

  3. Receiving the message: “You’ve been talking with a chatbot or a virtual personal assistant at pandorabots.com – and suddenly you now get this response. So what is happening and how do you solve the problem?
    The short answer:
The Pandorabot providing responses to this app has been disabled due to improper usage of of Pandorabots.com services. We know you miss your previous chatbot, so as an alternative, you might want to download the free Android App Pandorabots CallMom Beta- and find that it actually has far better conversational skills and we are improving its integrateion with your phone’s services daily. Sorry — we don’t have one for the iPhone yet. – Pandorabots Staff – Please send comments, criticisms or accusations to info@pandorabots.com or visit this page…” Help?

  4. Thanks. Now I have an ip4 brick. No boot after reboot on spite install.

Which meant a restore, and a forced upgrade to ios6, which I absolutely did not want. Apple maps sux big.

    Well done. :thumb

    1. Hold the volume button up button while booting your phone it will boot with no tweaks loaded in cydia then delete the bad tweak and reboot normally.

  5. DO NOT TRY THIS BECAUSE IT WILL PUT THE IPHONE IN REBOOT LOOP AND THAT MEANS YOU NEED TO RESTORE YOUR IDEVICE! THIS IS FAKE!

  6. stuck on downloading forcebly clear cache i guess we should not try it its not worth and dangerous! dont try @ home! lolZ

  7. Thank you very much, my Iphone is now blocked, keeps rebooting. Really thank you, you’re my hero of the day. To all people trying to do that tweak : GO AWAY, it’s a fake hack !
