Nexus 7 Begins Shipping, Pre-Orders Slowly Getting Fufilled

I’ve been waiting for my Nexus 7 since June 27th when I pre-ordered it, but according to some sources, it seems pre-ordering wasn’t necessarily the fastest way to get the device.

According to PCWorld, Google has sent some of their Nexus 7 tablets to retailers already. Staples, Adorama, and Gamestop apparently all had some in stock today as some people are reporting they walked into these retailers today and just bought Nexus 7 tablets. PCWorld goes on to say that most of these retailers shortly ran out of the limited stock they did have (although I say can’t hurt to check your local stores and see if they have any left).

The silver lining here is that anyone who pre-ordered their Nexus 7 should be receiving it sooner rather than later, but it does bring up a question. Why should I have pre-ordered it if people who didn’t preorder it are able to just go get one anyway? Anyone else pre-order think that’s a bit odd or is it just me?

  1. Not overjoyed that I still have no idea when I’ll get my Nexus 7.

I ordered while the presentation will still ongoing. I actually had to search for the order page.

Google does this, though. Anything other than search is a crap shoot if they screw it up or do it right.

  2. Upto now i haven’t received any email confirmation if the device has been shipped. It seems Google does not prioritize their pre order customers bot like Apple. I’m beginning to hate Google the way they handled this. Seems they don’t have any at all how things works. It really suck!!!!
