Google Launches Handwriting Recognition For Mobile Search
In their quest to rule the mobile search world, Google has launched another way to search on your mobile device. Say hello to handwriting recognition. Yes, you guessed correctly, you will now be able to chicken scratch your searches right onto your screen. While this new feature doesn’t aim at pushing back your search results any faster than if you were to manually type them in, it is an interesting concept.
My handwriting is less than desirable (on a good day) and after a few test runs, I must say I was left feeling impressed with the software. It’s pretty spot on. So, if handwriting is the way you have always envisioned your Google search experience to be like, then If you’ll ever use it, of course. Still, it’s really neat that it exists. If handwriting is your thing and you can’t stand software keyboards, head on over to google.com and click on Settings (or the gear icon in the top right corner on some devices) to enable the new feature.
