If you have rooted, installed custom ROMs/recoveries and for any reason, need to take the device into a service center, getting it back to stock is a good idea.  The post below will help you do that with the Galaxy S Blaze 4G, so read on if you want to know how.

I.  Before You Begin

1.  Back up everything you feel is important before you begin as this will replace your existing firmware with the stock version.

2.  Make sure that you have your device charged to 75% or more before you begin to prevent problems during the procedure.

II.  Necessary Downloads

1.  Odin 1.85.rar

2.  blaze.pit [Available as the Download Pit link in this post]

3.  SGH-T769-UVLB7-k0nane.7z [Available as the Download Stock TAR link in this post]

III.  Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

1.  Power down your device and remove the battery.

2.  Reinsert the battery, and press and hold the Volume Down + Volume Down + Power buttons until your device boots into Download Mode.

3.  Extract SGH-T769-UVLB7-k0nane.7z to a folder on your desktop.  You should end up with a file called SGH-T769-UVLB7-hitsquad.tar.

4.  Extract the Odin 1.85.rar file you downloaded above to a folder on your desktop.

5.  From the extracted folder, double-click on Odin3 v1.85.exe to run the tool.

6.  Click on PDA button, locate SGH-T769-UVLB7-hitsquad.tar and click on OK to load it on Odin.

7.  Click on the PIT button, locate the blaze.pit you downloaded above and click on OK to load it on Odin.

8.  Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.  Odin should now recognize your device and light up the ID:COM field yellow to signify this.  If not, reinstall the proper drivers and try again.

9.  Make sure that only the Auto Reboot option is checked and Re-Partition, Flash Lock and F. Reset Time are unchecked; this is important as you might brick your device if these options are ticked!

10.  Click on Start.

Once Odin says PASS and your device reboots, your Galaxy S Blaze 4G should be back to stock!

after all this how can i unlock network code

    • Dax Krishna

      Hi,

If you were unlocked previously, nothing you do after that like rooting, flashing custom ROMs will affect that and you will remain unlocked! if you are not unlocked previously though, you could contact your carrier for the unlock code or use the unlock services available on the web to unlock safely

  • Andre

    Dax or Mahesh,
Ive been wanting to unroot my phone because rooting it has caused small annoying problems. I was going through all the steps and I was suck on
    8. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable. >>>Odin should now recognize your device and light up the ID:COM field yellow to signify this<<<. If not, reinstall the proper drivers and try again.
It seems that the phone is not in download mode, it goes into the "CWM – based Recover v5.5.0.4" I have the options to reboot the system, install zip from card, wide data, wipe cache, back up or restore, mounts and storage, or advanced. I have navigated those menus and found no way to put the phone in download mode so i can see the ID:COM field turn yellow. Please help me fix the problem if you can. Thank you very much.

It looks like you’re being booted up into the Recovery Mode whereas you’re supposed to be in Download mode.

If the key-combination doesn’t work and you’re unable to boot into Download mode, then try out the following steps and it should do the job. (Windows only, no Mac and Linux!)

      (1) Download Fastboot from here – http://goo.gl/zZOJW

      (2) Extract files from the Fastboot archive to your Desktop and you’ll get adb.exe along with some other files.

      (3) Enable the USB debugging function on your device by simply heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

      (4) Once enabled, connect your device to your PC via USB cable.

      (5) Launch a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do that, simply hold down the Shift button on your keyboard and right-click on any empty area on the screen, then select Open command window here.

      (6) In the Command Prompt Window that you just opened, enter the following command:

      adb reboot download

      (7) And your device will reboot into the Download mode.

      That’s all.

Hope it helps you to get into download mode and unroot your device.

      Thanks!

You need to unzip that archive to get the actual TAR file. You can use free tools like WinRAR to extract such archives.

      Hope it helps!
