How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy S 4G (SGH-T959V)

If you have rooted your Samsung Galaxy S 4G using our guide and need to bring it back to its original state for any reason, unrooting is the first place to start unless you have gone a step further got a custom recovery and ROM.  This guide below will help just unroot the device, but if you have a custom ROM or a custom recovery installed, flashing stock firmware is the preferred way to go.

I.  Necessary Downloads

SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.zip

II.  Unrooting the Galaxy S 4G

1.  Extract SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.zip you downloaded above to a folder on your desktop.

2.  Enable USB Debugging on your device.  Go to Settings > Application > Development and then check the USB Debugging tickbox to do this.

3.  Connect your device to your PC.

4.  Double-click SuperOneClick.exe from the extracted folder.

5. Click on Donate Later.

6.  Click on Unroot.

Your Galaxy S 4G should be unrooted once SOC has finished it’s work!

    1. When dealing with hacking, rooting, jailbreaking etc. the files are often flagged as viruses by virus software. There is good reason for this. They are viruses in some respect (since they find exploits in Android, iOS, etc. and give us access to something the phone doesn’t want us to have access to). The difference is they are “viruses” we control. We WANT them to exploit the system and give us access to whatever we want.
      So, next time you are hacking something and your computer says one of the programs is a virus, tell it thanks for the warning and click continue anyway.
