How to Take a Screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Ever wanted to show your homescreen to your friends so they can know what you’ve got there? Want to show them the cool widgets available on your phone’s screen? No problem, just take a screenshot of it and send it over to your friends using Bluetooth or Email, if they’re afar from you. Capturing screenshots on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 can be done by pressing a key-combination and doesn’t require any third-party apps. If you want to learn how to do that, follow the following steps.

I. Taking a Screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2:

1. Head to the area on your device you want to capture the screenshot of. Your home screen, for example.

2. Hold down the Power key and then immediately press the Home button.

3. You’ll see a fading animation and your screenshot is captured.

Well done! Just head to /Pictures/Screenshots/ path on your device and you should find the screenshot you just captured. You can share it with your friends just like you share a normal image.

    I had trouble doing the screenshot until I made the following change in my procedure: I put one finger on the Power button but didn’t push until I had my thumb from my other hand on the Home button, then I pushed both simultaneously. It worked. The explanation above makes it sound like a two-step operation (with the second step done “immediately” but still after the first). It’s a one-step operation.
