How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the LG Lucid 4G

ClockworkMod Recovery allows you to install custom ROMs on your device in a few taps and you can have a completely different experience with your device and you should be happy to know that the recovery is available for the LG Lucid 4G smartphone. Once the recovery is installed, you can easily boot into the recovery and then flash the ROMs. Read on to know how you can install ClockworkMod Recovery on your LG Lucid 4G smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have done our How to Root the LG Lucid 4G procedure.

2. The following procedure works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. CWM Installer (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Installing ClockworkMod Recovery on the LG Lucid 4G:

1. Download and place the CWM Installer archive on your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from the archive to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Connect the device to your PC via USB cable.

5. Double-click on the CWM-Installer.bat file you extracted to your Desktop.

6. Follow the instructions displayed on your screen.

7. And you’re done!

Wonderful! Your device now has a custom recovery and you should be able to start using it right away!

    1. CWM Recovery doesn’t require any specific version of Android Firmware. Feel free to install it on your LG Lucid ICS, it should work fine.

      1. THE LG lucid’s ICS bootloader (4.0.4 is Locked, and will cause a ‘Security Error’ on the device. You need to downgrade to Gingerbread (2.3) in oreder to use the Custom ROms and recoveries

        1. Usually, a custom recovery works regardless of what version the user is running on his device. If it’s about bootloader, then it should be unlocked to be able to flash a recovery.

            and thats it will stay that way as long as i let it i was rooting my phone witch was successful btw been dabbling and never had this problem b4 wondering if anyone can help me go back to stock recovery so i can go to gingerbread so i can do it an move back to ics because i just wanted to make a backup so i could fix anything that might go wrong…….. thx much

  1. hey i get a link failed notification in the cmd line then everything is access denied after that any idea?
